    This is a SCARCE matched set of two (2) candle holders! Dark purple "black" Depression glass / pressed glass. This pair of double candlesticks was made by L.E. Smith Glass Company in the 1920s. The pattern name is Mt. Pleasant, also known as Double Shield. The glass is true black amethyst --- it has a gorgeous deep purple color when held to light. We acquired these holders from an estate located near Smithfield, Virginia.
