    Description

This is is Madame Alexander's Bonnie Blue Butler doll, from the Scarlet Series, stock #629. This doll's wrist tag was autographed by Cammie King, the actress who played Bonnie Blue in the 1939 film, Gone With The Wind.
Cammie King was brought on tour by MGM periodically, during which she would give talks about her memories of the movie, i.e. having Rhett Butler carry her and talk to her, and she was very witty. (I attended one of these and found her really charming!) The owner of this doll brought this doll to one of those talks, and had Ms. King sign the wrist tag.
In this depiction, Bonnie wears a classic blue outfit, with matching hat with feather. Under the dress she has white pantalettes and a white lacy petticoat, white stockings and black over the ankle boots. This doll is a beauty. She has her autographed wrist tag attached to her left wrist, her pink tissue paper, doll stand and she even has the factory cardboard neck guard still in place to hold her steady in the box. The box has done a fine job of protecting the doll all these years. The box has shelf wear, but it is certainly serviceable. Nonsmoking collection of original owner. The package will ship at the 2 lb rate. Thank you for looking.
