The GlassRaven can be powered with 12 AA batteries (not included), our 9-12V Solar Panel 2400 mAh, an external battery or an AC outlet. SimHero connects to any AT&T or T-Mobile cell tower. They cover over 99% of the US territory. SimHero works in Canada and it uses ROGERS cell towers. SimHero doesn't work in Mexico
