Cross Townsend Fountain Pen USA Used Vintage

For sale is a Cross Townsend fountain pen. I received this from my father, who received it from his boss years ago. I can’t say with certainty when it was made, but he received it around the mid to late 90s.
The pen looks to be silver with gold trim. But I don’t know how to verify the type of metal used. It says “Cross USA” and has the letter “M” on the nib. There is also an 8-digit code with what looks like an “A” in the middle on the metal part inside when you unscrew the top half of the pen. There is one black ink cartridge. I inserted it and gently pressed the nib down and the ink came out, so I assume that means it works. Comes with the green box and two brochures.
I don’t know much at all about these pens, so please feel free to ask questions or tell me where I can look for certain markings that may help identify it. Happy to take more pictures if needed.
