Glass Scottie Dog Creamer
designed and manufactured by the L.E. Smith Glass Company in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania in the 30's. It is made of a clear textured glass to resemble fur and came in a box of Post Grape Nuts cereal as a giveaway. They were designed after Fala, Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s beloved Scottie dog. They are formed from impressed molded glass and can also be used for sugar packets, candies, a spoon rest, etc. The little creamers were numbered from 1-37, with some numbers being more plentiful than others. The numbers are found in the glass between the hind legs. It measures 5 1/4" long, 2 3/4" high, and 2" wide. They are previously owned and in beautiful condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. There are mulitples of this item, and the numbers available are #29, #30, and #33. When purchasing, pick the numbered piece you want to make sure it is still available.
