L.E. SMITH GREEN URANIUM CRACKLE GLASS 8" OCTAGON SALAD PLATES Lot of 2 S8337These are PRE-OWNED; they both have rough edges around each plate and one has a small chip on the edge (see photo), otherwise they are in GREAT CONDITION for their age.
These are a Crackle Pattern from L.E. Smith Glass Company, made in the 1920's, also known as "By Cracky".
The crackle pattern has been put on these green octagon (8-sided) salad plates.
The color of green depression glass comes from a small amount of uranium, causing it to glow neon green when put under black light.
Sold only as a set of 2.
